Schools Fundraising

Fundraise with your school to support children and young people in Birmingham, facing loss or trauma. If you’re not sure where to begin, here are a few simple ideas to get you started:

  • Hold a dress-down day and ask everyone to donate £1 to take part.
  • Run a bake sale at lunchtime or after school. You could even add a competition element to encourage more people to join in.
  • Organise a sponsored walk – a great way to get pupils active while raising vital funds.
  • Host a quiz or game afternoon, where pupils donate to take part. This works brilliantly as an end-of-term activity.
  • Run a book or toy swap, asking pupils to bring in an item in good condition and make a small donation to join the swap.
  • Choose us as your Charity of the Year, helping your whole school community come together to support children and young people through a series of activities across the year.

Where resources allow, we’re also happy to visit your school and deliver an assembly so pupils can see the real difference their support makes to other children.

Please do get in touch to let us know your plans so we can support you along the way!  You can contact our team on: 0121 444 5454 or email fundraising@beyondthehorizon.org.uk

Your fundraising makes a real difference:

£100 could help pay for a family to attend an activity day, where they can connect with others who share similar experiences.

£300 could fund six sessions of support for a bereaved family in their home, helping them communicate and feel more confident talking about their grief.

£1000 would pay for a child to have 20 sessions of individual therapy, giving them a safe space to express their emotions around their experiences building resilience and protecting their mental health.

Did you know, we also support schools through our one to one therapy services, bereavement groups and training and resources for staff.
